PURPOSE OF THE VESSEL
Performing a wide range of research work in the Arctic Ocean by an expedition aboard an ice-resistant self-propelled platform (LSP):
- Independent piloting of ships, including in shallow Arctic areas.
- Loading, transportation and unloading of goods.
- Rendering assistance to ships and performing emergency rescue operations in ice conditions and in clear water.
- Fulfillment of expeditionary flights.
- Ensuring the implementation of underwater technical work.
- Seabed exploration, search and rescue operations
- Extinguishing fires on ships.
